Woodstock Rainbow Playschool is located
in the Little Theatre building, next to the Woodstock Recreation
Center. Rainbow Playschool overlooks the Ottauquechee River and is
within walking distance to several child-friendly destinations,
including Faulkner Park, Woodstock's Historic Village and Vail Field.
We have a devoted staff that works together to assure your child is
successful in every area of development. Our teachers meet and surpass
the state criteria for preschool teachers and Early Childhood Development
and participate in continuing education. All staff are CPR and
First-Aid certified.

Mission

development of the whole child--intellectually, socially, emotionally
and physically. Children learn through play and are respected and valued
as unique personalities. Groups remain small to ensure that
appropriate attention is given to the needs of each child, allowing him
or her to develop naturally while having fun in a secure community. |

History
| Rainbow Playschool began in 1992 as a day care for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. In 1984, a decision was made to take children 18 months through Kindergarten. In 1992, Rainbow Playschool, neeing more space, moved to Woodstock East. Rainbow unfortunately had to move one more time after in-ground pollution was discovered at the Woodstock East site. In 1994, Rainbow moved to our present location and became a 501(c)3 so as to better serve the people of our community. Our legal name is now Woodstock Community Playschool, Inc. DBA Rainbow Playschool.
